The Living Bread

Broken bread and a cup glowing in warm sacred light.

Bible verse

1 Thessalonians 5:11

1 Thessalonians 5:11

“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.”

1 Thessalonians 5:11 (King James Version (public domain))

What it means

We were never meant to walk the road of faith alone or discouraged. God calls us to build one another up, speaking words that strengthen rather than tear down. A timely encouragement can steady a wavering heart and remind a weary believer that hope is real. This is how Christ's love flows through His family. Because Jesus has secured our future, we can lift each other with confidence, not empty flattery. Look for someone who needs a word of grace today, and let your voice carry His comfort to them.
