Blessed are the peacemakers

“Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.”

Jesus, in the Sermon on the Mount · King James Version (public domain)

What it means

Peacemakers do not merely avoid conflict; they step in to heal it, at cost to themselves. In doing so they act like their Father, who made peace with us through the cross of His Son. To make peace is to bear the family likeness of God.

Take it in

Read the whole Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5 to 7) on The Living Bread, ask Simon anything you wonder about, and let this blessing reshape what you call a good life. You are welcome exactly as you are.
