What is the Trinity?
In short
The Trinity is the historic Christian belief that there is one God who exists eternally as three persons, the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. Not three gods, and not one person wearing three masks, but one God in three persons.
It is a mystery Christians confess not because they fully grasp it, but because it is how God has revealed Himself in Scripture.
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.”
