What is mercy?
In short
Mercy is God's compassion toward us in our need and failure, withholding the judgment we deserve and giving kindness instead. The Bible says God is rich in mercy.
And having received it, we are called to be merciful to others as God has been merciful to us.
“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed... They are new every morning.”
