What Does the Bible Say About Money?
Scripture speaks about money more than almost any subject, not to shame us, but to free us: money is a good servant and a cruel master, so hold it with open hands and trust God to provide.
The Bible never calls money evil, but it warns that the love of money pulls the heart away from God. Jesus said we cannot serve both God and wealth, and He calls us to store up treasure in heaven rather than clutch at treasure that rusts and fades.
God promises to provide for those who seek His kingdom first. Contentment, generosity, and honest work are the Bible's path to a life that is rich toward God, whatever the balance in the account.

How this points to Jesus
Jesus, though He was rich, became poor for our sake, so that through His poverty we might be made rich. The deepest wealth is not money but knowing Him. When Christ holds the throne of our hearts, money loses its power to enslave, and we are free to give as generously as we have received.
