What Does the Bible Say About Marriage?
The Bible presents marriage as a lifelong covenant of self-giving love, a living picture of Christ's faithfulness to His people.
From the beginning God joined man and woman as one flesh, a bond not to be broken lightly. Scripture calls husbands and wives to love, honor, and forgive one another, laying down their lives as Christ laid down His.
Marriage is not built on romance alone but on daily grace, patience, and humility. When both partners grow toward God, they grow toward each other, and a threefold cord with God at the center is not easily broken.

How this points to Jesus
Every marriage is meant to point beyond itself to the greater marriage, Christ and His bride, the Church. Jesus loves His people with a faithfulness that death could not break. When we cannot love as we should, His love supplies what ours lacks, and His grace holds a marriage together.
