What Did Jesus Say About the Lost?
Jesus said He came for the lost, and He told story after story to prove it: a shepherd after one sheep, a father watching the road. He does not wait to be found. He goes looking.

What Jesus is really saying
Every one of Jesus' lost-and-found stories has the same shape: something precious is missing, someone goes searching, and the finding ends in a party. That is how God feels about you. You are not a nuisance to be tolerated but a treasure worth seeking, and heaven celebrates when you are found.
Who these words reveal Him to be
Only God would leave the ninety and nine and search the wilderness for one. In these stories Jesus is not describing someone else; He is describing Himself. He is the Shepherd who came seeking, the Savior who lays down His life for the sheep, the God who runs down the road to embrace the returning child. His words about the lost reveal a heart that came, at all cost, to find you.
Come to Him
However far off you feel, you are not beyond His reach. The Shepherd is already searching, and the Father is already watching the road. Turn toward home, and you will find Him running to you.
