What Did Jesus Say About Love?

Love was at the center of everything Jesus taught. He named it the greatest commandment and made it the mark of His followers.

“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart... Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.”

Jesus, in Matthew 22:37-39 · King James Version (public domain)

“A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.”

Jesus, in John 13:34 · King James Version (public domain)

“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Jesus, in John 15:13 · King James Version (public domain)
