Bible Verses for Caregivers
You care for a parent, a spouse, a child, or a friend who cannot care for themselves, often with no days off and little thanks. It is love, and it is exhausting. These verses are for the caregiver who is pouring out and running low.
What God says over caregivers
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”
Come to Jesus, all who are weary and heavy laden, and find rest.
“He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.”
He gives power to the faint and strength to those with no might.
“Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.”
Bear one another's burdens; this is exactly what you are doing.
“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
His grace is sufficient; His strength is made perfect in weakness.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Wait on the Lord and He renews your strength like the eagle's.
“Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.”
Daily He bears your burdens; you do not carry this one alone.
“And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
The care you give the least of these, Jesus receives as given to Him.
“The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.”
Underneath you are the everlasting arms when you are worn thin.
“Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”
Cast your burden on the Lord, and He will sustain you.
“For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”
Though the outward self is wearing out, He renews you within day by day.
Where this all leads
Jesus carried a cross so you would never be crushed by the weight you carry now. He sees the invisible work, the interrupted sleep, the love with no applause, and He calls it holy. Bring your exhaustion to Him; the One who bears the world's burdens will help you bear this one.

A prayer for caregivers
Lord, I am tired. Thank You for the chance to love this person, and please give me strength I do not have. Renew me when I am empty, comfort me when no one sees, and remind me that You see everything. Carry me as I carry them. In Jesus name, amen.
You were never meant to walk this alone
The family here will pray with you, and you can hear how Christ has met others in the same place.
