8 Bible Verses About Serving others (KJV)
Jesus, who was Lord of all, came to serve. Here is what the Bible says about serving others and following His example.
What the Bible says about serving others
In Christ's kingdom the way up is down; greatness is found in serving.
Sharing the weight of another's load is how we live out the law of Christ.
All service is finally offered to the Lord himself, so we give it our whole heart.
In the Kingdom, greatness is measured by service. When you serve the least, you are serving Christ Himself.
How these verses point to Christ
Service flows downhill from the Servant King. Jesus washed his disciples' feet and said, "I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you" (John 13:15). He served to the point of death, giving his life as a ransom. When we bear one another's burdens and serve in love, the Spirit is reproducing Christ's own self-giving heart in us. We serve because we were first served by him.
