What God says over a mission trip
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”
Go and make disciples; Jesus is with you always.

How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news.
“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”
He gives His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.
“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
“So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
His word will not return void but accomplishes His purpose.
“For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.”
Come not to be served but to serve, following Jesus.
“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:”
God is able to make all grace abound, so you have enough for every good work.
Where this all leads
A mission trip is not mainly about what you do; it is about Who you carry. Jesus goes with you, and He is already at work in the people you will meet. Go in His strength, serve with His heart, and share the good news that changed you. However short the trip, He can use it, and you, to bring someone one step closer to Him.
