Bible Verses for Your Twenties
Your twenties can feel like standing at a hundred doors at once: career, relationships, identity, faith, all up in the air. There is freedom and there is pressure to have it figured out. These verses are for your twenties, to anchor you while you find your footing.
What God says over the twenties
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God has plans for you, for peace and a future and a hope.
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Trust the Lord with your whole heart; He will direct your paths.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Seek first His kingdom, and the rest of what you need is added.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;”
Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, not conformed to the world.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Do not be anxious; take your uncertainty to God for peace.
“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”
Whatever you do, do it all to the glory of God.
“Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”
Delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Do not let your youth keep you from living faithfully now.
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”
Those who wait on the Lord renew their strength.
Where this all leads
You do not need your whole life figured out; you need to know the One who holds it. Your twenties are not a waiting room before real life; they are real life, and Jesus is with you in every uncertain step. Seek Him first, and the rest, in time, will take shape in His hands.

A prayer for the twenties
Lord, so much feels uncertain right now. Help me trust You with my future instead of trying to control it. Keep me close to You in these years of change. Give me wisdom for the big choices and peace in the unknown. Lead me where You want me. In Jesus name, amen.
