The teenage years are full of change, pressure, and big questions about who you are and where you belong. It can feel like everyone has an opinion about you. These verses are for teenagers, to remind you of your worth in God and give you courage to be who He made you to be.
What God says over teenagers
“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.”
Let no one despise your youth; be an example in word and life.
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.”
You are fearfully and wonderfully made; His works are marvelous.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
Trust the Lord, not the crowd, and He will direct your path.
“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them;”
“But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.”
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”
Choose your friends wisely; company shapes character.
Where this all leads
You are not defined by likes, looks, grades, or what anyone says about you. You were known and loved by God before you were born, and Jesus thought you worth dying for. These years are a great time to build your life on Him. Whatever the crowd says, you belong to the One who made you on purpose and calls you His.
Lord, these years are hard sometimes. Help me remember that my worth comes from You, not from what people think. Give me courage to be who You made me, wisdom to choose good friends, and closeness to You. Guide me and hold me. In Jesus name, amen.
You were never meant to walk this alone
The family here will pray with you, and you can hear how Christ has met others in the same place.
1 Timothy 4:12 ('let no man despise thy youth') and Psalm 139:14 are powerful for teens, reminding them to be an example and to know they are wonderfully made by God.
What does the Bible say to young people?
It urges them to remember their Creator early (Ecclesiastes 12:1), to reject the world's mold and be transformed (Romans 12:2), and to live as examples of faith regardless of their age (1 Timothy 4:12).
