In the anxious hours before an operation, a prayer to steady the heart and place body and outcome in God's care.
Father, I place myself in Your hands, and in Yours alone.
Steady my heart and calm my fear.
Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses; give them skill and care.
Bring healing, and let me wake to Your mercy.
Whatever comes, I trust You. Amen.
