Is the Bible true?
The short answer
Christians believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Written across some 1,500 years by many authors, it tells one unified story leading to Jesus, is preserved in thousands of ancient manuscripts, and is repeatedly confirmed by history and archaeology. You need not settle every question to begin: read the Gospel of John with an open heart and see whether it rings true.
