Honest questions

Does God exist?

The short answer

Christians cannot offer mathematical proof that God exists, but they point to real reasons: the ordered beauty of the universe, our sense that right and wrong are truly binding, the deep human longing for meaning, and above all the person of Jesus. Faith is trust grounded in reasons, and you are invited to seek and see.

It is one of humanity's oldest and most honest questions. Christians cannot hand you a mathematical proof, but they would point to real reasons to believe: the ordered beauty of the universe, the strange reality that we experience right and wrong as truly binding, the deep human longing for meaning and love, and above all the person of Jesus.

Faith is not the absence of thinking; it is trust grounded in reasons, and ultimately in a relationship. If you want to know whether God is there, you are not forbidden to ask, you are invited to seek.

“The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.”

Psalm 19:1 · King James Version (public domain)

Keep seeking

You are welcome to bring your honest questions to The Living Bread, read the Word, ask Simon anything, talk with real believers, and pray, even if you are unsure. Seeking is not the opposite of faith; it is often the beginning of it.
