Honest questions

Is heaven real?

The short answer

Christians believe heaven is real, not wishful thinking, but the presence of God, promised by Jesus Himself, who said He goes to prepare a place for us. His resurrection from the dead is the ground of that hope: evidence that death is not the end, and that a life beyond awaits, with no more sorrow, pain, or tears.

Is heaven a real place, or just a comforting idea? Christians believe it is real, not wishful thinking, but the presence of God, promised by Jesus Himself, who said He goes to prepare a place for us.

His resurrection from the dead is the ground of that hope: evidence that death is not the end, and that there is a life beyond, with no more sorrow, pain, or tears.

“In my Father's house are many mansions... I go to prepare a place for you.”
