How to Trust God (Especially When It's Hard)
Trusting God is easy when life is good and hard when it isn't. Here's how to keep trusting Him when you can't see the way.
Trust is not the absence of questions or fear; it's choosing to lean on God in the middle of them. It grows the way any relationship does, over time, through experience, as you find Him faithful again and again.
Remember who He is
Trust rests on God's character, good, faithful, and near. Remind yourself of that when feelings say otherwise.
Read His promises
Fill your mind with what God has actually said. Faith comes by hearing His Word.
Pray honestly
Tell God your doubts and fears. Honest prayer is not a lack of trust; it's an act of it.
Take one small step
Trust is a muscle. Obey in one small thing today, and watch Him meet you.
Look back
Recall the times God came through before. His past faithfulness is fuel for present trust.
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
