A covenant, not just a contract

The Bible presents marriage as a lifelong covenant made before God, not merely a legal arrangement. That foundation changes everything: you are no longer two, but one, joined by God Himself.

Love that serves

Biblical love is less a feeling than a commitment to seek the other's good. Husband and wife are each called to lay down their lives for one another, the way Christ laid down His for us.
