A Christian View of Parenting

Parenting is holy, humbling work. The Bible offers not a formula but a foundation: raise your children in the love and knowledge of God.

Point them to God, early and often

Scripture calls parents to weave faith into everyday life, teaching God's ways as you go about the day, not only at church. Your ordinary moments are the classroom.

Grace over perfection

You will not parent perfectly, and you don't have to. Model repentance and grace; children often learn more from how you handle failure than from your successes.

Discipline with love

The Bible ties discipline to love, not anger, shaping a child's heart, not just controlling behavior. The goal is a child who loves what is good, not one who merely fears punishment.

Pray, and entrust them to God

In the end, your children belong to God even more than to you. Pray for them daily, and trust the One who loves them beyond what you can imagine.
