Seek someone who shares your faith

The Bible urges believers to build a life with someone who shares their deepest allegiance. Faith is the foundation everything else is built on, don't treat it as an afterthought.

Honor the other person

Treat the person you date as God's child, not a means to an end. Purity, honesty, and respect protect you both and reflect what real love actually is.

Involve wise community

Infatuation is blind; trusted friends and mentors are not. Don't date in isolation, invite people who love you to know and speak into the relationship.

Keep God first

The best preparation for marriage is a heart growing in God. Seek Him first, and trust Him with your longings and your timing.
