How do I trust God when life is hard?

Answer

Trust grows by remembering who God has shown himself to be: good, faithful, and near, proved most of all at the cross. You do not have to feel strong or understand everything. Bring him your fear honestly, hold onto his promises, and take the next step. He has never abandoned those who lean on him.

A prayer was here before you

You sit on a cold bench, hands trembling. The weight of your questions is heavy. Remember the warmth of a friend’s smile. Trust is a seed. It grows slowly, nourished by small moments. In silence, listen. You are not forgotten. He waits quietly beside you. Amen.

Someone in the family wrote this for whoever would one day read these words. You were thought of before you got here. If you want, a real person will pray with you, by name, at no cost and with no account. Ask them to pray with you.

Take the next step

You do not have to sort this out alone. On The Living Bread you can ask the family to pray with you, ask Simon anything about faith, read the Word, and find a church near you.
