In short
Prayer is simply talking with God honestly. You do not need special words. Praise Him, thank Him, tell Him what is wrong, ask for what you need, and listen. Jesus taught His followers a model prayer, the Lord's Prayer, as a place to start.Prayer is not a performance; it is a conversation with a Father who loves you. Be honest. Bring your fear, your failure, your gratitude, your requests. You can pray out loud or silently, kneeling or walking.
If you do not know how to begin, pray the words Jesus gave: Our Father, which art in heaven... You are never talking to no one.
