Why does God allow suffering?
The short answer
This is the hardest question there is, and honest faith does not pretend it away. The Bible offers no tidy formula, but something deeper: in Jesus, God entered our suffering Himself, He wept, bled, and died. Christians trust a God who is with us in the dark, redeems what breaks us, and promises one day to wipe away every tear.
If God is good and all-powerful, why is there so much pain in the world? This is the hardest question there is, and honest faith does not pretend it away. The Bible does not hand us a tidy formula, but it does give us something better than an explanation: a God who entered the suffering Himself.
In Jesus, God did not stay distant from our pain. He wept, He bled, He died. Christians do not claim to have every answer, but they trust a God who is with us in the dark, who redeems what breaks us, and who promises one day to wipe away every tear.
