Boaz

Their story, honestly
Boaz was a wealthy and respected landowner in Bethlehem who first appears greeting his workers with the LORD be with you. He noticed Ruth, a poor foreign widow gleaning in his field, and rather than ignore or exploit her, he protected her, told his men to leave extra grain, and made sure she was safe and fed. When Ruth appealed to him as a kinsman-redeemer, he did not take advantage, but honored the process, publicly clearing the way with the nearer kinsman before marrying her. He redeemed Naomi's land and Ruth together, restoring a broken family, and became an ancestor of David and of Christ.
What their life teaches us
First, Boaz teaches everyday godliness; his faith showed in how he greeted workers, treated a foreigner, and did business honestly. Second, he teaches protective kindness toward the vulnerable, using his power to shelter rather than exploit. Third, he teaches integrity in the right way of doing things; he could have simply taken Ruth, but he honored the law and the other kinsman first, doing right in public. Boaz redeemed one family in Bethlehem; from that very line, in that very town, came the Redeemer of the world.
