Bible Verses for a Big Decision
You are at a crossroads, and the choice ahead feels too big to get wrong. You want to do the right thing but the way is not clear. These verses are for a big decision, to help you seek God's wisdom and trust Him to direct your steps.
What God says over a big decision
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Trust the Lord, lean not on your own understanding, and He will direct your paths.
“If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
If you lack wisdom, ask God, who gives to all liberally and does not reproach.
“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.
“A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.”
You plan your way, but the Lord directs your steps.
“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.”
You will hear a word behind you saying, this is the way, walk in it.
“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.”
Commit your way to the Lord; trust Him, and He will act.
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
God has good plans for you, plans for a future and a hope.
“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”
In the multitude of counsellors there is safety; seek wise counsel.
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
Let the peace of God rule in your heart as you decide.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
Seek first His kingdom, and the rest becomes clearer.
Where this all leads
You do not have to figure this out alone or in the dark. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, leads His sheep, and He promises wisdom to all who ask. Seek Him first, weigh it in prayer and wise counsel, and trust that the God who holds your future will direct your steps, even if you can only see the next one.

A prayer for a big decision
Lord, I have a decision before me and I do not want to get it wrong. Give me wisdom I do not have. Make Your way clear, and give me peace about the right path. I commit this choice to You; direct my steps and lead me where You want me. In Jesus name, amen.
