Do Crystals and Energy Healing Work?. Golden fields of ripe wheat glowing, ready for harvest.

A real question, answered honestly

Do Crystals and Energy Healing Work?

Psalm 147:3

Crystals are beautiful, and rest, touch, and calm attention genuinely help the body, so a healing practice can feel like it works. But there is no real energy in a stone that reads your body and mends it, and the Bible points the wounded not to objects but to a Person: the Lord who healeth thee, who bindeth up the brokenhearted. Behind the wish for crystals is a true and tender hope, that you could be made whole. That hope has a name.

“He healeth the broken in heart, and bindeth up their wounds.”Psalm 147:3

“And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.”Exodus 15:26

“Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:”James 5:14

Let's take the appeal seriously

People reach for crystals and energy healing when medicine feels cold and life feels out of control. They want to be touched, calmed, cared for; they want their pain taken seriously and their body treated as more than a machine. Those longings are good and human. And many of the surrounding practices, quiet, rest, deep breathing, gentle attention, do soothe us, because we are made for peace and presence. The desire under it all is a desire to be healed and held.

What is really being offered

But a crystal cannot know you, love you, or forgive you, and it cannot reach the deepest wound, which is not in the body but in the soul. Treating stones or energy fields as a power that heals quietly puts your trust in something that cannot answer back. The God of the Bible does not ask you to channel an impersonal energy. He offers his own presence, and he heals sometimes the body, always the heart, on his own wise and loving timing.

Where the longing points

Jesus touched the sick, and still heals today, but the deepest healing he brings is peace with God and a heart made new. Scripture invites the sick to pray and to be prayed for, bringing our bodies to a personal Healer rather than to a lifeless stone. He is the Lord who bindeth up the brokenhearted, and he does not run on the right frequency; he runs on love. When you are hurting, you were made to be held by him.

If you are carrying pain that no crystal can reach, you could bring it, plainly, to the God who heals, and let his family pray with you.

Questions people ask

Is it wrong to like crystals as beautiful objects?

There is nothing wrong with enjoying a stone as part of God's beautiful creation. The concern is treating crystals as a spiritual power that heals or protects, which places trust in the created thing rather than the Creator who alone can make us whole.

Can't rest and calm actually help me heal?

Yes, and God made our bodies to benefit from rest, breath, and peace. The point is not to reject calm but to know where lasting healing comes from: not an impersonal energy, but the Lord who heals and the peace he gives that the world cannot.
