Serve Christ
Discover Your Place in the Body of Christ
The Bible says the church is one body with many members, and God has set each one in place as it pleased him. That means you have a place, and it is not an accident. Tell us what you are looking for, a church, a way to serve, a calling to weigh, a way to give your skills, and we will point you to the right place to begin.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I find my place in the church?
- Scripture says God has set each member in the body as it pleased him (1 Corinthians 12:18), so you already have a place. Begin by joining a local church, then serve in a small way. Your place tends to become clear as you take part, not before.
- What does it mean that the church is one body?
- In 1 Corinthians 12, Paul compares the church to a human body: many different parts, each needed, all belonging to one another and to Christ. It means no believer is unnecessary and no gift is unimportant. You matter to the whole.
- I want to serve but do not know how. Where do I start?
- Start near and start small. Join a church, then look at one concrete need close to you and meet it. From there you can explore serving through your work, your gifts, prayer, giving, or missions.
Begin where you are
You do not have to have it all figured out to take a first step. Serving Christ starts small and near: a prayer prayed with someone, a need met on your street, a seat taken in a church this Sunday, a Gospel read with an open heart. He gives the growth. Pick one thing, and begin today.
