A Christian Perspective on Anxiety
Anxiety is real, and faith doesn't require pretending it away. Here's a compassionate, biblical, and practical look at anxiety, and where to find peace.
You're not failing at faith
Feeling anxious does not mean you lack faith. Some of the most faithful people in the Bible wrestled with fear and despair. God meets you in it, not only after it.
What Scripture offers
Again and again the Bible invites us to hand our worries to God in prayer, and promises a peace that guards the heart, not the absence of trouble, but His presence within it.
Practical steps that help
Prayer, Scripture, honest community, rest, and time in nature all help. So does professional care, counseling and, when needed, medicine are gifts, not failures.
When to reach out
If anxiety feels overwhelming or persistent, please talk to a doctor or counselor. God works through trained people and medicine too. You are not meant to carry this alone.
“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”
