Who Was Adam in the Bible?
Adam was the first man, made by God from the dust and given life, dignity, and a garden to keep, whose fall brought sin into the world.
Adam stands at the head of the human story. The Bible says God formed him from the dust of the ground and breathed into him the breath of life, so that he became a living soul, made in God's own image and given real work, real freedom, and the company of Eve.
Given one boundary, Adam and Eve crossed it, and through that first disobedience sin and death entered the world. Yet even in the moment of judgment God clothed them and gave a promise of rescue, showing that grace was already reaching toward a fallen race.
