What Does the Bible Say About Children?
The Bible treasures children as a gift and a heritage from the Lord, and Jesus welcomed them with special tenderness.
Scripture calls children a blessing and a reward, and it charges parents to raise them in the love and knowledge of God. Children are not interruptions to the important things; in God's eyes they are among the most important.
Jesus rebuked those who tried to keep children from Him, saying the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Their simple, trusting faith is held up as an example for us all.

Jesus took children in His arms and blessed them, and He held up their trusting faith as the way into His kingdom. He loves the little ones with a fierce tenderness, and He invites us all to come to Him as children, small, dependent, and dearly loved.
