The words of Jesus

What Did Jesus Say About the End Times?

When His followers asked about the end of the age, Jesus answered with both warning and comfort. Here is what He said.

“And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass.”

Jesus, in Matthew 24:6, King James Version

Do not let fear rule when the world shakes.

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

Jesus, in Matthew 24:36, King James Version

Beware anyone who claims to know the date.

“Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”

Jesus, in Matthew 24:35, King James Version

His word outlasts everything that seems permanent.

“Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.”

Jesus, in Matthew 24:42, King James Version

Live ready, not anxious.

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

Jesus, in Matthew 24:14, King James Version

The end is bound up with good news going out, not just disaster.

Come to Him

Jesus does not want us afraid of the future but ready for Him. However the world turns, He holds it, and He is coming for those who are His.

His words were always meant to lead you to Himself. You can begin with Jesus here, ask someone to pray with you, or read His words in the Bible.
