Convoy of Hope

Relief & justice · Founded 1994 · by Hal and David Donaldson · Springfield, Missouri, United States

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based humanitarian organization founded in 1994 by Hal and David Donaldson. Its mission is to feed the hungry and bring help and hope to people impacted by poverty and disaster. Through disaster response, feeding programs, and community outreaches, it partners with churches and volunteers to serve the suffering in the name of Jesus around the world.

What they do

Convoy of Hope responds quickly to hurricanes, earthquakes, floods, and other disasters, delivering food, water, and supplies to survivors and hard-hit communities.

Its children's feeding programs provide nutritious meals to boys and girls in vulnerable places, and its women's empowerment and agriculture efforts help families move toward stability.

The ministry also hosts community outreach events offering groceries, health services, and prayer, and it partners with local churches and volunteers to reach people in need.

The Scripture behind the work

“For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:”
“He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the LORD; and that which he hath given will he pay him again.”
“And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day:”
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”

Where the door leads

Convoy of Hope carries food and help in the name of Jesus, motivated by his compassion for the hungry and the hurting. Every meal and relief effort is meant to open a door to his love and hope. You can take part by giving, volunteering, or praying for the communities it serves.
