Campus Outreach is an evangelical college ministry that began in 1978 at Briarwood Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama, starting with one staff worker among students at Samford University. It exists to glorify God by building laborers on the campus for the lost world, sharing the gospel with students, discipling them in the faith, and equipping them to carry that same message into their careers, families, and the nations.
What they do
Campus Outreach places trained staff and volunteers on college campuses, where they meet students through everyday friendships, dorm gatherings, and campus events, then open the Bible together to explain the good news of Jesus.
Beyond evangelism, the ministry disciples new believers through one to one mentoring, small group Bible studies, and leadership training, teaching students to walk with Christ and to share their faith with others.
Summer projects, conferences, and mission trips stretch students to live on mission, and many are sent out after graduation to serve the local church and to start the work on new campuses at home and overseas.
