Maybe you are not arguing against God so much as aching toward Him. You want to believe and cannot make yourself. You have never felt Him. You wonder, when you pray, if you are only talking to yourself. You used to call yourself an atheist and something in you keeps turning back to look. This is a place for that honesty, and it will not rush you, shame you, or pretend faith makes the questions vanish. The Bible is full of people who believed and doubted in the same breath, and one of them said the truest prayer here: Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief. He was not turned away. He was helped. Jesus welcomed the doubter, met Thomas where he stood, and honored the ones who kept honestly seeking.
