Faith When You Are Unemployed
Yes, there is a place for you, and your worth was never your paycheck. Losing work can shake your sense of who you are, but Jesus pointed to the birds, fed without a storehouse, to say your Father knows what you need and has not forgotten you. You are more than your employment, and you are not alone in this.

What faith offers is an identity that does not rise and fall with your employment, a Father who knows your needs, and a community that in its best form shares what it has. If the need is urgent, please do not stay silent. There is practical help, and asking for it is not shameful.
Come and see
You do not have to clean yourself up first, or have the words, or feel any particular way. The living Christ welcomed people exactly where they were, and he still does.
