10 days, one parable at a time
Jesus taught in parables, short earthly stories that open windows onto the kingdom of heaven. This ten-day plan walks through some of His best-loved ones, the lost son, the good Samaritan, the sower, and more, each revealing the surprising, searching, generous heart of God and calling for a response from ours.

The plan, day by day
Day 1
The lost sheep, the lost coin, and the lost son. The searching, celebrating heart of God.
Day 2
The good Samaritan. Who is my neighbor, and what does real love look like?
Day 3
The sower and the seed. How different hearts receive the word of God.
Day 4
The unforgiving servant. We forgive out of the ocean of mercy we have received.
Day 5
The Pharisee and the tax collector. God justifies the humble, not the self-righteous.
Day 6
The talents. Faithfulness with what God has entrusted to you.
Day 7
The laborers in the vineyard. God's generosity that upends our sense of fairness.
Day 8
The great banquet. The surprising guest list of the kingdom of God.
Day 9
The rich man and Lazarus. A sobering look past this life to the next.
Day 10
The wise and foolish builders. Hearing Jesus' words and doing them is the rock that holds.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
The parables are Jesus' own way of teaching, and they all circle back to Him and His kingdom. In them you meet a God who searches for the lost, forgives the undeserving, welcomes the outsider, and calls everyone to respond. Read them not just as clever stories but as the voice of the Storyteller Himself, inviting you into the kingdom He came to bring.

What are the parables of Jesus?
Parables are short stories from everyday life, seeds, sheep, banquets, fathers and sons, that Jesus used to reveal deep truths about God and His kingdom. They are memorable and disarming, drawing listeners in and then confronting them with a choice. This plan walks through ten of the most loved.
