10 days, one sign at a time
The miracles of Jesus were not just displays of power but signs, windows into who He is and what His kingdom brings. This ten-day plan walks through some of the greatest, water into wine, storms stilled, the blind seeing, the dead raised, each revealing His authority over everything that breaks our world, and His compassion for the ones caught in it.

The plan, day by day
Day 1
Water into wine, the first sign, revealing His glory at a wedding in Cana.
Day 2
Jesus stills the storm. Even the wind and sea obey Him. Who then is this?
Day 3
A woman healed and a girl raised. His power over long suffering and over death itself.
Day 4
Feeding the five thousand. He is the bread of life who satisfies the deepest hunger.
Day 5
A man born blind receives sight. Jesus is the light of the world.
Day 6
The raising of Lazarus. I am the resurrection, and the life.
Day 7
The miraculous catch of fish, and the call: from now on you will catch men.
Day 8
A leper cleansed and a centurion's servant healed. His touch and His word both carry power.
Day 9
A paralyzed man forgiven and healed. His authority reaches both body and soul.
Day 10
Ten lepers healed, and one returns to give thanks. Let His mercy lead you back in gratitude.
A reading plan is a servant, not a master. If you miss days there is no guilt here and no scorecard in heaven. Simply begin again where you left off. The goal was never to finish a list but to meet the One these words are about, Jesus, who is glad to be found by you today.
Where this plan is leading
John calls the miracles signs, because each one points beyond itself to Jesus: the bread-giver who is the bread of life, the healer of blindness who is the light of the world, the raiser of Lazarus who is the resurrection itself. Read them not just to marvel at the power, but to see the One the power reveals, and to trust Him with whatever is broken in your own life.

What were the miracles of Jesus?
They were acts of divine power and compassion, healing the sick, calming storms, feeding thousands, giving sight to the blind, and raising the dead. The Gospel of John calls them signs, because each one points beyond the miracle to reveal who Jesus is: the Lord with authority over nature, sickness, and death.
Why did Jesus perform miracles?
Out of genuine compassion for suffering people, and to reveal His identity and the arrival of God's kingdom. John says the signs were recorded so that you might believe that Jesus is the Christ and have life in His name (John 20:31). The miracles are meant to lead us to trust Him.
What do the miracles of Jesus mean for us today?
They show that Jesus has real authority over everything that breaks our world, and real compassion for those caught in it. While He does not always heal in the way or timing we ask, the miracles assure us that He sees, He cares, and His final kingdom will make all things new. They invite us to bring our brokenness to Him and trust Him with it.
