Why do good people suffer?

Answer

The Bible gives no tidy formula, and it never blames the sufferer. Instead it shows a God who entered suffering himself in Jesus, who stays close to the brokenhearted, and who promises one day to redeem and end all pain. You are not being punished, and you are not alone in it.
