What is repentance?
Answer
Repentance is a change of mind and direction: turning from sin and turning toward God. It is not mainly feeling bad, but honestly agreeing with God about our need and coming home to him. It is the doorway into new life, and Jesus began his ministry by calling people to it.

A prayer was here before you
You sit at a table, head bowed, the shadows long. Sorrow fills the air like heavy smoke. In this moment, know that the weight can be lifted. There is a way home, a path marked by honesty and quiet steps. You are not forgotten. Trust in what is good. Amen.
Someone in the family wrote this for whoever would one day read these words. You were thought of before you got here. If you want, a real person will pray with you, by name, at no cost and with no account. Ask them to pray with you.

You do not have to sort this out alone. On The Living Bread you can ask the family to pray with you, ask Simon anything about faith, read the Word, and find a church near you.
