Honest answers

What is faith?

Answer

Faith is trust, not blind belief in spite of evidence, but confident reliance on God based on who he has shown himself to be. It means resting your weight on Jesus, the way you trust a chair to hold you. Faith is less about certainty and more about surrender.

A prayer was here before you

You sit in the shadow, wondering if anyone sees you. Remember the stars that stood still long before your questions. They shine for you now. Take a breath. There is a quiet strength in your heart, waiting to be noticed. Trust this moment. Jesus walks beside you. Amen.

Someone in the family wrote this for whoever would one day read these words. You were thought of before you got here. If you want, a real person will pray with you, by name, at no cost and with no account. Ask them to pray with you.

Take the next step

You do not have to sort this out alone. On The Living Bread you can ask the family to pray with you, ask Simon anything about faith, read the Word, and find a church near you.
