Grace is God's undeserved kindness: His love and forgiveness given freely, not earned by being good enough. Christians believe salvation is by grace, received through faith in Jesus, so that no one can boast and everyone can come.Religion often says: do this, and God will accept you. Grace says: God accepts you in Christ, so now you can live from love rather than for it. It is the difference between a wage and a gift.
You cannot make yourself worthy of grace; that is the whole point. You can only receive it.
