When God Said No: The Refusals That Were Still Love

The Bible does not hide the times God said no. Moses pleaded to cross into the promised land and was told to speak of it no more. Paul asked three times for the thorn to be taken away and heard, my grace is sufficient for thee. And in the garden the Son Himself asked if the cup could pass, and the Father said no. These refusals are not the whim of a distant God; read closely, each holds a wisdom and a mercy, sometimes a discipline, sometimes a greater yes. Each page below faces one honestly and follows it to Christ, who took the ultimate no so that we could receive the yes of God.
