What to Expect at a Church Service, By Tradition

A Catholic mass, an Orthodox liturgy, a Pentecostal service, and a quiet Presbyterian morning are all Christian worship, and they can feel very different at the door. If you know which kind of church you are visiting, it helps enormously to know what will actually happen before you get there: when people stand or kneel, how long it runs, whether you can take communion, and what nobody will tell you but everyone wonders.
