You stand in the gap for children, families, and the vulnerable, often against heartbreak, red tape, and impossible caseloads. It is exhausting, holy work. These verses are for social workers who fight for the least of these and need strength to keep going.

Where this all leads
The heart of your work, defending the vulnerable, is the very heart of God, who is a father to the fatherless and a defender of the weak. Jesus receives your care for the least of these as given to Him. When the caseload and the sorrow feel like too much, come to Him for strength, and know your labor is never wasted in His eyes.
Lord, You defend the fatherless and love the vulnerable. Give me strength and wisdom to fight for those in my care. Guard my heart from despair when the system fails. Renew me when I am worn out. Let me be Your hands to the ones the world overlooks. In Jesus name, amen.

Does the Bible support caring for the vulnerable?
Emphatically. God commands defending the poor, orphans, and the oppressed (Psalm 82:3, Isaiah 1:17), calls Himself their defender (Psalm 68:5), and Jesus counts such care as done to Him (Matthew 25:40).
