The Light of the Bible: From the First Morning to the City That Needs No Sun
The Bible begins with light spoken into darkness and ends in a city that has no need of sun or moon, because the glory of God is its light and the Lamb is its lamp. Between those two mornings, light is everywhere: a lampstand kept burning in the holy place, a word that is a lamp to the feet, a promise that people walking in darkness will see a great light, a face that shines like the sun on a mountain, and a voice that says, plainly, I am the light of the world.
