How this connects to Jesus
To avoid evil, to do good, to purify one’s mind, this is the teaching of all the Awakened. It echoes the prophet Micah: to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with God (Micah 6:8). Jesus affirmed the whole moral law and then went further, offering not only the command to be good but the power and the pardon to become new.
