Biblica

Bible translation & distribution · Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA

Biblica, long known as the International Bible Society, is a Christian ministry devoted to translating, publishing, and distributing the Bible so people everywhere can read it in their own language. It traces its roots to Bible society work in the early nineteenth century and today carries a global mission expressed as the Bible for everyone. Biblica is the worldwide sponsor and copyright holder of the New International Version translation.

What they do

Biblica translates the Scriptures into many languages and stewards widely used English translations, most notably the New International Version. Its translation teams and scholars work to render the biblical text faithfully and clearly so that ordinary readers can understand it.

Beyond translation, Biblica publishes and distributes Scripture in print and digital formats and creates resources that help people engage the Bible in everyday life. It works with churches, ministries, and partners around the world to place God's word in the hands of those who do not yet have it.

The Scripture behind the work

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Where the door leads

Biblica's aim is that everyone, everywhere would be able to encounter the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ through the Scriptures. By making the Bible clear and available, it points readers past the page to the living Word himself. A natural next step is to open the Gospel of John and read how Jesus offers life to all who believe.
