How to play
- Choose your mood honestly. The Psalms have a prayer for every one of them.
- Pick lines for the opening cry from the ones offered, each with its reference.
- Pick lines for the turn, where the psalmist remembers who God is.
- Pick lines for the praise. Five to seven lines in all.
- Read it back as one psalm. Keep it on your device, or send it to someone who needs the same prayer today.
A session, start to finish
Choose lament. The first drawer opens with real cries from the Psalms; choose two. The second drawer is the turn, where the psalmist remembers who God is; choose two more. The third is praise. Read it back: five lines that were never on the same page before, and every one of them Scripture. Keep it, or send it to the friend who is in the same night. Building one takes three minutes; praying it takes a lifetime.
