The Living Bread Data Covenant

A covenant, not a legal shield. Prayer, doubt, repentance, and the search for God are unusually intimate. Living Bread commits, in public, that this kind of information will never be treated as ordinary data to be mined.

A theory of digital dignity

Most platforms treat attention as inventory and behavior as a product. A Christian platform should begin somewhere else: that a person is made in the image of God and is never merely a data point. That conviction, not convenience, sets the rules below.

What we will never do

• We will never sell spiritual-behavior data or target advertising based on prayer or doubt.
• We will never turn your Christian practice into a public or private score.
• We will never train models on your private prayers or messages without explicit, revocable permission and a clear policy.
• We will never infer a person's religion, sexuality, grief, or mental state from surveillance in order to target them.
• We will never expose private relationships, private prayer, or sensitive information by default.

What we commit to do

• Keep the public graph and the private spiritual graph architecturally separate.
• Let you choose, granularly and reversibly, what becomes public.
• Make deletion meaningful and export possible where practical.
• Hold machine access to the same dignity rules as human access.
• Say plainly where every published fact came from.

Why publish this

Because if the wider Christian technology ecosystem adopts commitments like these, the category becomes more trustworthy for everyone. We would rather help set that standard than guard an advantage. Trust compounds.
